My 𝓋𝒾𝒷ℯ Space

To «π“‹π’Ύπ’·β„―»: to be at peace and in the moment. With this definition in place, the mornings are the best time for me to «π“‹π’Ύπ’·β„―». Slowly, but surely, I wake up to my alarm clock at 5:00 AM, hitting the snooze button a couple of times. At about 5:20, I yawn, stretch, and roll over. After a groan, I stare at the ceiling in the dark. Then, my thoughts begin to wander, and I travel to another dimension. The space that matters to me the most is not a physical space, but rather one I create for myself through my mind in the morning.

During this time, my mind awakens and thoughts flow through my head, uninterrupted. I enjoy taking in the beautiful silence that surrounds me, something that is untouched by the cacophony of society. On occasion, I hear a car buzz by and craft stories to explain why the person might be up and about so early. Perhaps, they have a family emergency. Or, maybe they are in charge of a secret mission as an undercover agent. Or worse, they are being chased by an invisible monster. For about twenty minutes, my mind scours outrageous possibilities before finally settling on the most logical one: they are most likely heading to work early.

However, on most days, I use the encircling silence to experience a state of tranquility, completely unbothered and light. By occupying myself with random thoughts, whether it is contemplating the meaning of life, thinking about where I would travel if I could, or theorizing possibilities of what my future family may look like, I temporarily escape from the everyday stress of life. After warming up my brain, I scroll through Reddit or TikTok, enjoying the wit and sarcasm that people put out on the platforms. I look to add my own perspective by commenting my own ideas, or I share the post with others.

After about an hour of being in my own thoughts, I usually see the lights turn on in the hallway. Unfortunately, I can no longer «π“‹π’Ύπ’·β„―». Nevertheless, having experienced a sense of revival, I think about what the day has in store for me, and then move myself out of the comfort of my bed. With this routine, I am recharged and ready to begin the day. Regardless of what is to come, I am prepared to face it head on, thanks to my early-day «π“‹π’Ύπ’·β„―π“ˆ».

    1. One question I also had was do you ever feel this way in the evening too, as you are winding down for bed?

  2. I can relate to how you create and fall into the space in your mind in the mornings. I liked how you show all the possibilities that could happen in your space, whether it is adventurous or self-reflecting. One question I had was: is there a noticeable difference in how you feel before and after you «π“‹π’Ύπ’·β„―»?
